PODCAST 23: Movie Review – Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The MovieMuse crew like waffling on about movies almost as much as watching them, so rather than talk to the dog about the comedic overtones of Se7en or the Wellesian influence on Police Academy, we thought we would record our chats, add a few trailers and movie clips and set them free on the world like a pensioner from cocoon.

EPISODE 23 – Deleted Scene: Star Wars The Last Jedi review

In our first ‘deleted scene’ episode, the team discuss the highs and lows of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and where it ranks amongst the rest of the saga.

  • Simon - "I don't get it, there's just nothing to to it"
  • Mat - "When it is good it is great, when it is bad it is awful"
  • Gordon - "Exciting and thrilling, but far too much slapstick humour"

If you take it for what it is and don’t overthink it, then Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a fine entry into the saga. A flawed and often silly film, but there are few Star Wars films that can claim not to be.
