2015 Most Anticipated Films

2014 was a great year for films. There were the hyper-hyped blockbusters like The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Theory of Everything and Interstellar, but also there were lower budget films like Nightcrawler, Whiplash, Lilting, Kajaki, Still Life and Wild that deserve to be remembered for years to be come.

2015 looks to be a big year for superhero and action movies, but there are also a number of quirkier films that I am looking forward to.

Below are trailers for the top 5 films that I am most intrigued and excited about.

White God

Failing in his efforts to find his beloved owner, an abandoned dog joins a canine revolt against their human abusers.

Chappie

When a police droid is stolen and given new programming, he acquires the ability to feel and think for himself.

Pixels

Based on Patrick Jean’s short film, aliens misinterpret satellite feeds of classic arcade video games such as Space Invaders and Centipede as a declaration of war and launch an attack on earth using the same eight-bit characters and strategies.

Jurassic World

A man-made dinosaur terrifies tourists at a theme park.

Mr. Holmes

Long-retired and near the end of his life, Sherlock Holmes (Ian McKellen) grapples with an unreliable memory and must rely on his housekeeper’s son as he revisits the still-unsolved case that led to his retirement.
